This week at the library – July 10

July 11, 7pm — Annual  Meeting — After the business portion of the meeting, Lynn Bonfield will speak on her new book New England to Gold Rush California, the story of a husband and wife, who married in Peacham in 1849 and settled in San Francisco in 1853, as told in their shared diary.  The meeting and talk are open to the public.

July 14, 7:15pm — Readers’ Delight Book Discussion — Readers’ Delight will be discussing Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver on Thursday.  The next book will be The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz, with the discussion taking place Thursday, August 18 at 7pm.  Stop by the library to pick up a copy of the book.

Friday, July 15, 10am – noon – Coffee Hour — Join us for good food and good conversation. All ages are welcome.

All week – Cover the world with your reading — Help us cover our world (and other worldly) map with dots showing where our books have taken us this summer.  Children and adults are invited to participate.

Looking ahead

July 18 – 22, 9:30-11:00am – Summer Reading “camp,” sign up at the library

July 19, 1:15pm – Tuesday Theatre — A movie based on Anne Tyler’s The Accidental Tourist.
