March 12, 9am, Libri Grant Presentation — The library received a Books for Children Grant from the Libri Foundation.  This morning we will share the books with the children of Peacham for the first time.  There will be several readers on hand to share a few of the books and then the children may check out a book for the usual three weeks.  The books will become part of our permanent collection for all to checkout. All the Libri Grant books are included in the list of new items added in January and February.

March 12, 7pm, Tech Monday — Join us as we discuss Vermont Online Library, an online collection of searchable periodicals, online biographies, business databases and other information.  There are also sections for students, career transitions and learning a foreign language.  Bring your laptop or use one of our computers.

March 14, 7pm, Game Night — Love to play games?  Join us for games from Yikerz to Agricula.  Bring your favorite or play one of ours.

March 15, 7pm, Readers’ DelightAbraham: A Journey to the Heart of Three Faiths by Bruce Feiler.  The next book will be The Odd Women by George Gissing.  This book is available free as an e-book at ListenUp! Vermont, or we can request one for you via inter library loan.  Just let us know how you’d like to read this book so we can help you get a copy.

March 16, 9am, Preschool Story Time — Join us for stories, a craft, and some running around! 

March 16, 10am – noon, Coffee Hour — Join us for a cup of coffee or tea, a sweet or two and good conversation.  Suitable for all ages!

Looking Ahead

March 20 , 1:15pm, Tuesday Theatre,  We’ll screen a movie based on  Moneyball by Michael Lewis. Brad Pitt stars as Billy Beane, the Oakland A’s general manager who employs a statistician to help buy new plays and improve the baseball team’s record.  Nominated for six Oscars, but won none.  Rated PG-13.

March 23, 10am – noon, Coffee Hour

March 27, 4pm, Literary Youth, This book discussion group for all ages will discuss  Hitty, Her First Hundred Years by Rachel Field and The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo.  Contact the library if you would like to borrow a copy of either book.
