October 1, 2:00pm, Raffle Drawing — It is National Library Card Sign-up Month. Stop by to sign-up for a library card, or update your current record by September 30th. Everyone who signs up will receive a raffle ticket making you eligible for our raffle on October 1st. The prizes include books, food, and more!
October 3, 9:00am – 4:00pm, Fall Foliage Day Book Sale – Looking for bargains on good quality used books? How about a gift for someone special at a reasonable price? Then the library’s annual Fall Foliage Book Sale is for you. The books are all organized by genre and even alphabetized in the fiction section. Come early, come often to stack up on the bargains.

October 3, 6:30pm, Fall Foliage Movie – Peacham becomes Gilead, Maine in this film about the Spitfire Grill, and a small town down on its luck. The move stars Ellen Burstyn. The film is rated PG-13.

October 12, 6:30 – 9pm, International Observe the Moon Night – Peacham Library, Peacham Elementary School and Northeast Kingdom Astronomy Association join together in celebrating our nearest astronomical neighbor, the moon. The evening will begin with stories and activities at 6:30pm at Peacham Elementary School. Around 7:00pm astronomers will be on hand to talk about the moon and how best to observe it. As the sky darkens it will be time to move to the telescope, binoculars and the observatory.
