June 9, 5:15pm, Friends of Peacham Library – The Friends organize events and fundraisers in support of the library with funds raised used to support book purchases and programs. Please consider joining the Friends and helping in their efforts.

June 9, 6:30pm, Peacham Knitters – Bring your knitting or other handwork for an evening of creativity and chatting. New knitters are welcome to come for help and encouragement.VTmovie-tallLogoBlk

June 10, 7:00pm, Freedom and Unity: The Vermont Movie — Part One – A Very New Idea – Peacham Library will screen this six part film on Vermont on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays throughout the summer.

June 13, 9:00 am, Preschool Story Time stories and crafts for the young and their caregivers.

June 13, 10am-noon, Coffee Hour –  join us for a cup of coffee or tea, a sweet or two and good conversation. Suitable for all ages!

June 14, 1 – 3pm, Herb Club – Learn how to use herbs for both medicinal and culinary purposes. There will be a herb walk with optional tincture making. Please bring a jar and Apple cider vinegar or alcohol.

Looking Ahead

June 17, 1:15 pm, Tuesday Theatre – We all know and love Mary Poppins, but what about Mr. Banks, the father of the children? And what do we really know of P.L. Travers, the author of Mary Poppins? Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson, and Colin Farrell star in this PG-13 movie about saving Mr. Banks.

June 19, 1:15 pm, Family Theatre – Julie Andrews (in her screen debut) and Dick Van Dyke bring P.L. Travers’ book Mary Poppins alive in this G rated Disney movie. Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

June 19, 7:00pm, Readers’ Delight – The group will discuss Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher by Timothy Egan. Contact the library if you would like to borrow a copy of the book.

June 20, 7:00pm, Ragtime Concert with Deborrah Wyndham — Peacham Library presents Deborrah WyndhamMainPicDeborrah Wyndham for a delightful evening fundraising concert to be held a Peacham Congregational Church.

June 24 – 26, 9:30 – 11:00am – Mini Mathematical Art Camp – Origami, Geodesic domes, and Computer Art. Must be 8 or older. Sign up required.

  Drop by to check out new books for May.

  We have passes to parks, museums and historical sites available for checkout.
The Vermont Park Pass allows up to 8 people (in a single vehicle) to visit a state
park as a day user.  The Vermont Historical Sites Pass allows 8 people (in a
single vehicle) to visit for free.  The Echo Pass gets up to 4 people a discounted
price of $4 to the museum in Burlington.  The Vermont History Museum and
Vermont Heritage Galleries pass grants free admission to these locations in
Montpelier and Barre.  And for those wanting to go south instead of west, we have
a pass for free entrance to the American Precision Museum in Windsor.

  Drop by to see the new display in the Gallery — Mr. GIlmore’s View, Peacham and its Surrounding Landscapes, Oil Paintings by Edward Kadunc now through July.  There will be a reception July 6th, 4-6pm.
