June 8, 12 noon, Friends of Peacham Library – Help the Friends plan events in support of the library.

June 8, 6:30pm, Peacham Knitters and Puzzlers— Bring your knitting or other handwork for an evening of creativity and chatting. There is also a jigsaw puzzle available for those who prefer this activity.

June 12, 10am-noon, Coffee Hour –  join us for a cup of coffee or tea, a sweet or two and good conversation. Suitable for all ages!

June 13, 10:00am, Story Time –Stories and activities for the young at heart.

Looking Ahead

June 14, 4 – 6:00pm, Artist Reception – Historical Peacham, photos from Peacham Historical Association’s collection.

June 16, 1:15 pm, Tuesday Theatre – “Dinosaur 13” presents the true saga of “Sue,” the largest and most complete T-Rex ever found. This is the story of a 10 year battle for control between Sue’s finders, Black Hills Institute, the US Government, Native American tribes, museums and competing paleontologists.

June 18, 7:00pm, Readers’ Delight – The group will discuss Being Mortal by Atul Gawande. Contact the library if you would like to borrow a copy of the book.

June 19, 10am-noon, Coffee Hour –  join us for a cup of coffee or tea, a sweet or two and good conversation. Suitable for all ages!

June 20, 1pm, Herb Club – Herb Club continues its study of seasonally appropriate herbs with a look at St. Johnswort, a common but unassuming weed in our fields and gardens. Find out why this is one of the few herbs that has received tremendous media attention. Herb Club is open to anyone, even if you have no experience with herbs.

Summer Events

June 25, 7:00pm, Summer Series – Purposeful Travel – Tim McKay presents “Search for My Father’s War.” This talk is the culmination of three years of reading his father’s wartime letters and the 25 day trip to Europe to discover the people and places he described. The remaining talks will be July 9 / 23, and August 6 / 20.

Summer Reading camps!  Sign up is required for all the camps and space is limited, so sign up soon.  Drop in any time to pick up a reading log.

  • June 22 – 24, 1:00 – 2:300pm – Minecraft Programming Camp – learning the finer points of Minecraft Programming with Jerri Kohl. Space is limited — signup is required by June 19. Suitable for ages 9+.
  • June 23 – 25, 9:30 – 11:00am – Art Camp – Try your hand at a variety of art projects. Space is limited — signup is required by June 19. Suitable for ages 7 and up.

Passport to Vermont Libraries — Everyone is welcome to pickup a Passport to Vermont Libraries. Visit libraries throughout the state to collect stamps in your passport and maybe a prize or two. At the end of the summer, we will award prizes to those who have visited the most libraries!

Every Hero Has A Travel Story — Add a pin to the Vermont map on the bulletin board for every library you visit. Add a pin to the world map for every place you visit whether via a book or in person.

New Books — New books and park passes are now available.  Be the first to borrow some!
