September 14, 12 noon, Friends of Peacham Library –Friends plan great events in support of the library.

September 14 and 28, 6:30 pm, Peacham Knitters and Puzzlers— Bring your knitting or other handwork for an evening of creativity and chatting. Or work on the current jigsaw puzzle.

September 14, 7:00 pm, Board Meeting — Meetings are open to the public.

September 15, 1:15 pm, Tuesday Theatre – Richard C. Morais’s book The Hundred-Foot Journey comes to life in this movie about a young Indian man who goes to work for his father’s culinary rival across the road in rural France. Starring Helen Mirren and Manish Dayal. Rated PG.

September 17, 7:00 pm, Readers’ Delight – The group will discuss A Fighting Chance by Elizabeth Warren. The October book will be Lila by Marilynne Robinson. Contact the library if you would like to borrow a copy of either book.

September 18, 10am-noon, Coffee Hour –  join us for a cup of coffee or tea, a sweet or two and good conversation. Suitable for all ages!

September 19, 8:00pm, International Observe the Moon Night – Peacham Library, Peacham Elementary School, and Northeast Kingdom Astronomy Foundation invite you to International Observe the Moon Night, a worldwide celebration of our nearest neighbor, the Moon!

Looking Ahead

September 22, 6:00 pm, Book Signing, 7:00pm, Author Talk with Tim McKay – Tim will sign copies of his book, “Letters to a War Bride,” from 6-7 then present his talk “Search for My Father’s War.” The book and talk are the culmination of three years of reading his father’s wartime letters and the 25 day trip to Europe to discover the people and places he described.

September 25, 10am-noon, Coffee Hour –  join us for a cup of coffee or tea, a sweet or two and good conversation. Suitable for all ages!
