April 3, 4:00 pm, Commemorative Stamps – Thaddeus Stevens and more! — Tea, Coffee, and Light Refreshments will be served at 3:30 with the talk at 4:00 — Don Gallagher is on a mission – obtaining a commemorative stamp in honor of Thaddeus Stevens. Gallagher believes Stevens is an ideal person to commemorate with a first-class, Forever stamp because of Stevens’ leadership during the Civil War and Reconstruction. Gallagher will talk about the process required by the Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee for commemorative stamps as well as his past stamp campaigns and the current Thaddeus Stevens campaign.
