May 27, 4:00pm, Cooking the Book — Join us for our second cookbook. The cooks select one recipe from the same cookbook to make and share. This month the cookbook will be The Confederacy of Dunces Cookbook by Cynthia LeJeune Nobles. We will gather to share our cooking and thoughts about the recipes. Stop by the library to select a recipe. You do not need to cook to participate, but please let the librarian know that you will be attending so that the cooks make enough!

May 31, 7:00pm, Single-Payer Health Care Discussion – Betty Keller, MD, will share a the film “The Healthcare Movie” describing the evolution of healthcare insurance in Canada and the US and then lead a discussion on what a single-payer healthcare system might mean for Vermont and the US.
June 1, 10:00am, Summer Reading Program Kickoff at Peacham Elemenatary School — Modern Times Theater will present “The Perils of Mr. Punch,” as a prelude to the library’s “Build a Better World” summer program. All are welcome to attend.
