August 24, 7:00 pm — Climate Change:  The Science and the Skeptics  presented by Joe Alper– The science of climate change, both theory and evidence, shows that the earth is warming and that this warming is primarily due to human activity.  After presenting the science, Joe will argue that we should accept this science as true and therefore are justified in acting to slow and eventually reverse global warming.  Finally, Joe will evaluate the various arguments of the skeptics and deniers.
