January 7, 5:00 pm, Healthy Beginnings – Is 2019 is the year you’re going to make heath a priority? Join Robyn Morrison, a Certified Transformational Health Coach, as she talks through strategies that will help you do it right!

January 7, 7:00 pm, Library Board Meeting – Meetings are open to the public.

January 8, 1:30 pm,  Aging Well in Peacham – Jerry Senturia will share strategies and tips for keeping yourself warm in cold weather.

January 9, 10:00 am, Tai Chi for Fall Prevention – Sponsored by Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging and SASH. Continue your practice, building strength and balance in a quiet setting.

January 10, 1:30 – 3:00 pm, Iron Chef Jr: Cupcakes!  – Early Release Day at Peacham Elementary. Spend your afternoon off at the library solving clues to unlock secret ingredients and then baking up some cupcakes, some to take home and some for Coffee Hour the next day. All ages welcome, children 8 and under should be accompanied by parent or caregiver.Please call the library or use this form to register, so we have enough supplies for everyone.

January 10, 5:30 pm, Tai Chi for Fall Prevention: Beginner’s Class- Start at the beginning and learn about this ancient practice, building strength and balance in a quiet setting. Sponsored by Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging and SASH.

January 10, 7:00 pm,  An Introduction to Wet-Felting – Join Laura Abrahamsen for a crafting evening where you’ll learn how water, soap, and friction work together to turn combed wool into felt. You’ll come away with a mug rug and an understanding of the materials and techniques you can use to continue to explore this fiber medium on your own. Wear old clothes and bring a small bowl. $5.00 material fee payable to the instructor at class time. Please call the library or use this form to register.  Space is limited to 9 people, ages 12 and up.

January 11, 10:00 am – noon, Coffee Hour – A chance to drink a cup of coffee or tea, enjoy a sweet or two, and chat with your friends and neighbors.  

January 13, 3:00 – 5:30 pm, Friendly Folk Music Jam – Open to acoustic instrument players of any skill level interested in a relaxed, collegial atmosphere to share folk or old-time music.  Come share your talent and a simple song (3 or 4 chords).  Don’t play an instrument?  Listeners are always welcome!
