April 8, 6:00 pm, Peacham Energy Committee – Check in and see what this new town committee is working on.

April 8, 6:30 pm, Peacham Knitters and Puzzlers -Bring your knitting or other handwork for an evening of creativity and chatting.  Or work on the current jigsaw puzzle while you chat.

April 9, 6:30 pm, Peacham Community Housing – This group is a non-profit, charitable organization, supporting and enabling community projects that contribute to Peacham’s quality of living.

April 9, 7:00 pm, Peacham Fire District #1 – The regular monthly meeting is open to the public.

April 10, 10:00 am, Tai Chi for Fall Prevention -Sponsored by Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging and SASH. Continue your practice, building strength and balance in a quiet setting.

April 12, 10:00 am-noon, Coffee Hour – A chance to drink a cup of coffee or tea, enjoy a sweet or two, and chat with your friends and neighbors.

April 14, 3:00 – 5:30 pm, Friendly Folk Music Jam – Open to acoustic instrument players of any skill level interested in a relaxed, collegial atmosphere to share folk or old-time music.  Come share your talent and a simple song (3 or 4 chords).  Don’t play an instrument?  Listeners are always welcome!

This a relentlessly paced multigenerational story about violence and recovery, memory and identity, and the beauty and despair woven into the history of a nation and its people. Contact the library if you would like to borrow a copy of the book.
