April 17, 10:00 am, Tai Chi for Fall Prevention – Sponsored by Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging and SASH. Continue your practice, building strength and balance in a quiet setting.

April 18, 7:00 pm, Readers’ Delight – Join us for a discussion of  “There There” by Tommy Orange. This a relentlessly paced multigenerational story about violence and recovery, memory and identity, and the beauty and despair woven into the history of a nation and its people. Contact the library if you would like to borrow a copy of the book. 

April 19, 10:00 am-noon, Coffee Hour -A chance to drink a cup of coffee or tea, enjoy a sweet or two, and chat with your friends and neighbors.

Coming Up

April 22, 6:00 pm, Make a Reusable Bag – Celebrate Earth Day by sewing your own reusable cotton bag.  The bag will be a small lightweight, easy-to-sew design. No sewing experience necessary. Class size is limited. Material fee of $8.

April 22, 6:30 pm, Peacham Knitters and Puzzlers – Bring your knitting or other handwork for an evening of creativity and chatting.  Or work on the current jigsaw puzzle while you chat.

April 26, 7:00 pm, An Evening with Miss Emily – As Poetry Month comes to a closes, join us for an evening with the “Belle of Amherst” Emily Dickinson. Donna Dia Lowre will reprise her role as the poet, sharing scenes and poems from the play by William Luce, interspersed Emily Dickinson’s biographical background.

April 27, 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Homeschool Round Table – Want to know more about homeschooling? Local homeschooling parents will be on hand to talk about a variety of subjects, including curriculum development, different methods of assessment, homeschooling a special needs child. Parents will be available to answer any questions.
