August 1, 7:00 pm, Summer Series – Peacham Landings: Animals – Animal stories that include horses, alpaca, sheep and more as we meet and chat with the people who came to Peacham because of the terrific hill farm conditions for raising animals and its related fiber production. Did you come to Peacham to raise animals? Join in the conversation, we would love to hear your “tails”.
Peacham Landings is a new storytelling project meant to cultivate connections to each other and to our community’s history by asking the question: “How did you land in Peacham?” Funded through a grant from Vermont Humanities Council, Peacham Landings launched this summer.

August 10, 1:00 pm, Gold Star Dog Training – Is a yawn always just a yawn? Why does a dog shake off even when it’s not wet? Why is growling good? Is a tail wag always friendly? This multi-media extravaganza of fun helps us all understand what dogs say to us with their bodies. We’ll demystify dog communication, reveal some common dog-human misunderstandings, and learn how we can all live safely and happily together. After the presentation, the audience gets to engage in exercises to practice reading dog body language. (Shhhh…this is for humans only…dogs must be left at home!)
