August 20, 1:15 pm, Tuesday Theatre: “Christopher Robin” – Christopher Robin — now a family man living in London — receives a surprise visit from his old childhood pals, and they embark on a journey to help Christopher rediscover the joy of life. 103 minutes. Rated PG.

August 21, 10:00 am, Tai Chi for Fall Prevention -Sponsored by Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging and SASH. Continue your practice, building strength and balance in a quiet setting. No instructor in August, but you are welcome to come and practice with friends.

August 22, 1:30 pm, Movie and a Craft: “Galaxy Quest”What’s it like to be captured by aliens? Come, watch this move and go along for the ride Stay and create an your own alien! Children under 8 should be accompanied by parent or caregiver.

August 22, 5:30 pm, Story Time at the Farmer’s Market – Join us at the Farmer’s Market this summer as the Library brings stories, and a craft to the Peacham Farmer’s Market.  Everyone is welcome. 

August 22, 7:00 pm, Summer Series: Peacham Landings: 60’s and 70’s – Arriving from New York, San Francisco or beyond, folks came to Peacham in the 60’s and 70’s and have astonishing “landing” stories from following the trail of an old buried diary to escaping uptight urban parents to following a guru.  Please bring stories of your own arrival from this era. 

August 23, 10:00 am – noon, Coffee Hour – A chance to drink a cup of coffee or tea, enjoy a sweet or two, and chat with your friends and neighbors.

August 26, 6:30 pm, Peacham Knitters and Puzzlers – Bring your knitting or other handwork for an evening of creativity and chatting.  Or work on the current jigsaw puzzle while you chat.

August 29, 7:00 pm, Summer Series: Peacham Landings: Re-Peopling of Vermont –  Author Paul M. Searls and his new book, Re-peopling Vermont: A Paradox of Development in the Twentieth Century, about the historic patterns of “re-peopling” Vermont concludes our series.  Join us for an informal community dialogue that includes the author. The library has multiple copies of this book available to borrow throughout the month of August.
