This Week at the Library – August 26

August 26, 6:30 pm, Peacham Knitters and Puzzlers – Bring your knitting or other handwork for an evening of creativity and chatting.  Or work on the current jigsaw puzzle while you chat.

August 28, 10:00 am, Tai Chi for Fall Prevention -Sponsored by Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging and SASH. Continue your practice, building strength and balance in a quiet setting. No instructor in August, but you are welcome to come and practice with friends.

August 29, 5:30 pm, Story Time at the Farmer’s Market – Join us at the Farmer’s Market this summer as the Library brings stories, and a craft to the Peacham Farmer’s Market.  Everyone is welcome. 

August 29, 7:00 pm, Summer Series: Peacham Landings: Re-Peopling of Vermont –  Author Paul M. Searls and his new book, Re-peopling Vermont: A Paradox of Development in the Twentieth Century, about the historic patterns of “re-peopling” Vermont concludes our series.  Join us for an informal community dialogue that includes the author. The library has multiple copies of this book available to borrow.

August 30, 10:00 am – noon, Coffee Hour – A chance to drink a cup of coffee or tea, enjoy a sweet or two, and chat with your friends and neighbors.

September 3, 1:30 pm, Aging Well in Peacham: “Richard Lyders: Poetry” – Enjoy some poetry, with food, fun and socializing with this monthly group.
