October 7, 7:00 pm, Library Board Meeting – Meetings are open to the public. 

October 8, 7:00 pm, Peacham Fire District #1 – The regular monthly meeting is open to the public.

October 8, 7:00 pm, RIDE THE FUTURE: A cross country adventure in electric vehicles – Duane Leffel will recounts how eight strangers from around the world attempt to set four Guinness World Records on electric vehicles to prove they are reliable and viable. They set off on their 44 day journey with no corporate funding and limited planning and have come away with amazing stories about people, places and sustainability accomplishments.

October 9, 10:00 am, Tai Chi for Fall Prevention -Sponsored by Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging and SASH. Continue your practice, building strength and balance in a quiet setting. All levels.

October 11, 10:00 am – noon, Coffee Hour – A chance to drink a cup of coffee or tea, enjoy a sweet or two, and chat with your friends and neighbors.

October 14, 6:30 pm, Peacham Knitters and Puzzlers and Scrabblers – NEW this month, we will break out the Scrabble™ board for any interested wordsmiths. Bring your knitting or other handwork, work on the current jigsaw puzzle while enjoying lively company and conversation.

October 15, 1:15 pm, Tuesday Theatre: “On the Basis of Sex” – Inspired by the powerful true story of the young Ruth Bader Ginsburg Rated PG-13. Running Time 120 minutes. NEW!Encore showing at 6 PM.

October 17, 7:00 pm, Readers’ Delight – Join us for a discussion of  “These Truths” by Jill LePore (This month – Part One and Part Two).  The most ambitious one-volume American history in decades, this book offers a magisterial account of the origins and rise of a divided nation. Contact the library if you would like to borrow a copy of the book. 

October 18, 10:00 am – noon, Coffee Hour – A chance to drink a cup of coffee or tea, enjoy a sweet or two, and chat with your friends and neighbors.
