The Peacham Library and the Peacham Historical Association are partnering to bring you a summertime activity, available July 3 through July 26. Enjoy on your own, with a friend, or with your family. Children are very welcome!
Eleven sites have been identified around Peacham village that mark the town’s history fighting off diseases and epidemics. To visit them, you’ll need the map below.
The Quest is designed to be and outdoor, walkable event. Please visit the sites with your family or use a mask to walk it with a friend. You may also use a car and then walk a short distance to the sites. The signs with historical information are marked with orange orienteering flags. Please be respectful of the landowners who are granting you permission to walk on their property.
Solve the Quest, win a prize!
If you would like to receive a prize for your completion of the Quest, please copy down the highlighted single letter from each historical sign. Unscramble them and use the form on the back of this map to write down the mystery phrase. You may submit your results to the library in person or via email (peachamlibrary@gmail.com), or drop off your answer at the Peacham Café during business hours. Make sure that you include your name and contact information with your answer (you can simply fill out the form on the back of this sheet). All who complete the Quest will be entitled to a small prize for those who have finished before July 12 from the Peacham Café beginning on July 14th. Just give the Peacham Café your name, which will be at the counter on a list. All completed forms will also be entered into a drawing for three larger prizes from the Peacham Café.
