October 23, 7:00 pm, Genetic Genealogy with Alana Considine – Genetic genealogy takes DNA testing beyond paternity tests to uncover connections to individuals and ethnic groups. You’re thinking of testing, but should you choose Ancestry, 23andMe, Family Tree DNA, My Heritage or one of the many companies new on the scene? Already tested? How do you get the most from your results? Alana will discuss the differences between DNA testing companies, how to interpret results, and just enough genetics to make sense of it all. She will also delve into the ethical issues of genealogical genetic testing.
